Level II and III sex offenders are being banished from one Goodyear community after residents voted Dec. 2 to keep them out.
Homeowners voted 185 to 32 in favor of an amendment to Palm Valley Phase I’s declaration of covenants, conditions and restrictions that prohibits offenders from living there, said Curtis Ekmark, an attorney representing the homeowners association. Full Article

Lawsuit on the way from Janice !!!!! That development will soon feel what it is like to be STUCK with a cactus where the sun doesn’t shine ! LOL
And people think this is okay because….?
I just watched Highlander last night. Not the Adrian Paul crap, or the inane “Highlander 2,” which I simply choose to believe never existed, but the Chris Lambert version with the Queen soundtrack. When I saw this post, all I could think of was the scene where Connor was banished from his village tied to a stock. Hey, he got off light. If the villagers had their way, they would have burned him.
So…how is this particular little vote any different?
See, this is why I don’t agree with a tiered registry. We’d just see more discrimination against Tier II and III offenders. Most of us, about 90,000 of us, would end up as Tier II or III under a tiered scam.
The one (1) lone person was known by the victims, which seems to be lost on the voting populace……ignorant people…..can’t think to make a rational decision and don’t recognize the statistics
The people who voted for this represent the scum of America. They need to get out of my country. They deserve every terrorist attack that they get.
One good aspect about nonsense like this is that it allows good people to see who the scumbags are so we can keep them away from us.
Unfortunately I’m seeing this happen more and more with HOA’s (which I already disliked before for other reasons).

My wife and I purchased a home about 1 1/2 years back. The very first thing I demanded from my realtor:
“I will not live in a home with any HOA. Period.” Those who live in home with a HOA can enjoy their prison.
I’m with you. Don’t know why someone would want to have another layer of people telling them what to do. Especially when the rules make no sense, other than to keep things the inverse of diverse… My father in law’s association told him he HAD to have an H2O sucking lawn, no water frugal flowers allowed, right in the middle of our most severe drought in decades. It is to keep up appearances, they say. They can have those appearances. It’s not for me. It just makes everthing chant the same soul crushing brand of big box hardware store ticky tacky, with a paucity of resonance and range, both inside and out, animal, vegetable, mineral and human.
Didn’t the SCOTUS 2003 decision denote that registration wouldn’t affect occupations or housing?
So… about that…
